A hearing aid implant was placed so that a child born completely deaf could hear music for the first time.
Jessica Cox, a 33-year-old airtime producer based in Marietta, Georgia, said her two-year-old son Sawyer went deaf when he was just seven weeks old.
Just after Sawyer’s first birthday he underwent surgery to have his hearing implants fitted and they were activated shortly after, on September 15 2020.
Implants allow Sawyer to hear sounds that most people hear, including the sounds of cars and airplanes flying overhead.
