Wild Baby Elephant Separated From Her Family Saved From Starvation

This precious elephant calf named Asampu was just 6 months old when she was saved from starvation after being separated from her elephant family on the dry African plains.

Luckily, The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT) stepped in after a call from a Big Life Foundation ranger who had spotted the calf wandering the Narraengolo area within the Amboseli-Chyulu ecosystem. The wildlife rescue regularly saves orphaned elephants such as this calf.

If they hadn’t rescued her, Asampu would likely not have survived, but with their help, she will grow up protected and loved.
