Dad Brings Tears To Daughter’s Eyes Singing Special Version Of “Hallelujah” On Her Wedding Day

It was his daughter’s big day, her wedding, and Dad was going to do something extra special. He wasn’t going to just escort her into the church and walk her down the aisle, but also show her just how much he loved her with a special tribute. Many wedding ceremonies have guests who perform a special song just for the couple, but this time, Dad was about to steal the spotlight for only a moment. As the officiant walked toward his chair leaving the bride and groom kneeling at the altar, he motioned toward the guests seated in the pews.

Dressed in a tuxedo and looking quite dapper, the bride’s dad rose and walked to the front of the church. He took his position behind a wooden music stand, a small microphone in front of him, and glanced over at the pianist. He gave a healthy cough, then the music began to play. Dad’s voice was absolutely astounding! It was deep, rich, and booming. The song he selected to perform at his baby girl’s wedding takes a twist on Leonard Cohen’s beloved song “Hallelujah.” The song was made wildly popular by Irish priest Father Ray Kelly who has sung the marriage-themed lyrics at numerous weddings himself.
