She Sits Down To Play A Song From 1975, But Listen Closely

When it comes to famous song covers, it can be really hard for performers to get it right…
After all, there’s nothing like the original. Yet, as we’ve seen so many times over, there’s nothing wrong with hearing a great song from a fresh perspective. For example, when U.S. veteran Paul Yeti decided to audition for America’s Got Talent, he knew he had to do something to stand out. I doubt the judges expected him to sing the Rihanna song “Stay,” but he completely blew them away by simply making the song all his own.

In the following video, we hear a song that has been covered by just about everyone…and for good reason. “Bohemian Rhapsody” is both one of my all-time favorites and the greatest vocal performance in rock ‘n’ roll history, according to Rolling Stone. From these female comedians in their car to this extremely bizarre kite show, the classic Queen song will never, ever get old! However, when you hear the following version, performed by composer and pianist Sonya Belousova, you’ll be completely hypnotized by its beauty.

Anyone who has performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” in any capacity can tell you that it is not an easy song to cover, but Belousova managed to take the 1975 hit and turn it into something completely separate from the original and entirely her own. I think you’ll agree that the result is truly magical.
